Practice (Trap) starts 3/17/25 3:30pm till 7pm. Cost of practice is $4. Don’t have to be member to practice but we encourage it.

Some of our clubs and individuals want to get more involved on issues that affect them and have requested information on what legislative proposals are out there. Listed are 19 egregious anti-gun bills that go against our Constitutional Rights. Please contact your district representatives through emails, petitions, letters or phone calls with your club/your own position on them. Status of these bills can also be found on the legislative websites.
· NY A 1774, Assemblywoman Rosenthal, Establishes the class A misdemeanor of unlawful procurement of a firearm, for the purchase or acquisition of more than 1 firearm during any period of 30 days.
· NY A 2228, Assemblywoman Rajkumar, requires background checks in order to purchase a 3D printer and its companion bill,
· NY S 3562 Assemblywoman Cleare, Requires a criminal history background check for the purchase of a three-dimensional printer capable of creating firearms; prohibits sale to a person who would be disqualified on the basis of criminal history from being granted a license to possess a firearm.
· NY S 2158, Senator Comrie, establishes a database of information relating to the sale or use of micro-stamped guns. (Micro-stamped referring to firearms with firing pins that imprint unique markings onto cartridge casings.) it's companion bill
· NY A 3021 Assemblyman Anderson, Requires the division of criminal justice services to establish and maintain a database of information relating to the sale or use of microstamped guns in the state and to promulgate regulations regarding the provision of information pertaining to the sale, delivery or use of such guns within the state.
· NY S 2089, Senator Kavanagh, expands background checks to include juvenile delinquency records for persons under age 30 when purchasing a firearm and companion bill
· NY A 1905 Assemblywoman Paulin, Allows access to juvenile delinquency records for the purposes of a firearm background check; authorizes the denial of a firearm license for an applicant who is under the age of thirty and who as a juvenile was adjudicated delinquent for an offense which, if committed by an adult, would constitute a felony or serious offense.
· NY S 1455, Senator Kavanagh, Allowing the division of criminal justice services to certify the technological viability of "personalized handguns" and to establish requirements related to the sale of "personalized handguns", along with its companion bill,
· NY A 1191, from Assemblyman Bores. (Personalized handguns referring to pistols or revolvers that could be programmed to function only when activated by the firearm's lawful owner or other authorized user.)
· NY S 1358, Senator Serrano, would require all pistols to be equipped with a permanent "Child Proofing Device." no companion Assembly bill.
· NY A 437, Assemblyman Dinowitz, Suicide warning signs would be required on-site at any establishment that sells, displays, or delivers firearms, it's companion bill
· NY S 743, Senator Gianaris, includes rifles and shotguns in required warnings to consumers regarding the risk of death or suicide in homes where such weapons are present.
· NY A 346, Assemblywoman Paulin, Establishes the offense of unlawful possession of firearms by persons under twenty-one, no companion Senate bill.
· NY A 2060, Assemblywoman Rajkumar, requires any firearm manufactured by a three-dimensional printer to contain a unique identifying number and to be registered with the state police, no companion Senate bill.
· NY S 360, Assemblywoman Jackson, Relates to establishing additional requirements to purchase a firearm, shotgun or rifle; requires a person to apply for a hunting license prior to the purchase of a shotgun or rifle; establishes additional requirements for all firearms, shotguns and rifles including taking a five hour gun safety course and exam, passing a shooting range test with 90% accuracy, providing notarized proof of a passed drug test and mental health evaluation, providing proof of purchase of firearm and ammunition safe storage depositories and passing a criminal background check, no companion Senate bill. Companion Bill NY A 2149.
